Switchul Planet Gigabit GSD-808HP PoE 802.3at este solutia ideala pentru a satisface cererea de PoE de mare putere pentru aplicatiile de retea cu viteza de transmitere Gigabit. Fiecare port gigabit 10/100/1000Mbps al switchului GSD-808HP ofera alimentare PoE conform standardelor IEEE 802.3af si IEEE 802.3at atingand un buget PoE de pana la 130 watti pe intregul sistem. Switchul a fost gandit special pentru a satisface cererea tot mai mare de dispozitive alimentate prin PoE cu un consum superior de energie, cum ar fi camere de supraveghere cu PTZ (Pan, Tilt & Zoom) / camere de supraveghere cu IP speed dome, access pointuri wireless multi-canal (802.11a/b/g/n) si alte echipamente de retea care necesita o putere PoE suplimentara, mai mult decat standardul conventional 802.3af PoE.

Switchul GSD-808HP este prevazut cu 2 LED-uri portocalii pozitionate pe partea stanga a panoului frontal. Aceste LED-uri sunt Indicatorii de Utilizare PoE. LED-ul 1-4 reprezinta consumul PoE pentru porturile de la 1 la 4, in timp ce LED-ul 5-8 insumeaza consumul PoE pentru porturile de la 5 la 8. LED-urile se vor aprinde cand se atinge un consum de 80% sau peste, iar daca se inregistreaza un consum de peste 95% PoE, LED-urile vor clipi pentru avertizare. Datorita acestor indicatori LED se poate monitoriza statusul consumului PoE curent in mod usor si eficient.

Modul inactiv pentru linkurile nefolosite al switchului GSD-808HP este conform cu standardul IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) alocand in mod automat mai putina energie pentru un anumit port cand acesta nu este utilizat.

De asemenea suporta si standardul auto-MDI/MDI-X care poate detecta tipul de conexiune la orice dispozitiv Ethernet fara a fi necesara folosirea unor cabluri speciale sau crossover.
